drone UAV mapping surveying

Construction and residential development site surveys

Look at the site layout of your plot(s) and/or development sites to maximise available information before work commences.

DRS UAVs have high-resolution cameras to collect 20 megapixel aerial photographs for a wide variety of commercial mapping uses. We can measure and map hard-to-reach areas such as quarries, landfill sites and open-cast mines.

We use PC and cloud-based aerial mapping software developed by PIX4D Mapper to produce 2-D photomosaics and 3-D Digital Surface Models (DSM).

Planning application support

For planning applications or prior to construction, property developers can use aerial photography to show the proposed view from different floors and angles, the site context with surrounding buildings, roads and land, or to create a 360° aerial panorama of the site.

Aerial commercial property photography

As commercial property agents if you are selling or leasing commercial prosperty, there is now a cost-effective way to produce stunning aerial photographs and videos of offices, retail parks, industrial units, factories, farms and land.

Flying up to 400’ above ground level our UAVs can easily show the complete picture – car parks, land boundaries, road access, environmental setting and overall unit layout – giving potential investors, purchasers and leaseholders access to great images.
Aerial photography gives potential buyers an elevated birds-eye view, making your property portfolio stand out on estate agency websites.

Aerial photography will increase interest and saleability of your property. Houses and apartments that may look plain at ground level can appear far more interesting using aerial photographs. This is particularly relevant to rural properties with large gardens, attached land and outbuildings, or houses with sought-after riverside or lakeside features.

Environment and conservation services

Aerial surveys using UAVs can be used for various environmental projects such as monitoring algal blooms in lakes and rivers, encroachment by invasive plant species into sensitive sites, the deterioration of vulnerable habitats and to detect possible water pollution due to run-off from construction sites.
Ashford flooding aerial photographs

Flood risk and coastal erosion services

Aerial images can be used to predict flooding associated with development sites and to record the extent of actual flooding occurrences. UAVs can be used for medium and long-term monitoring of coastlines vulnerable to sea-level rises and erosion following high tides and storms.
